NSG, Inc. is currently seeking dedicated and vigilant Security Officers to join our team for 3rd shift at a job site located in Mt. Auburn. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our client and their residents.

Shift Schedule

  • Monday into Tuesday: 12:00 AM – 6:00 AM
  • Tuesday into Wednesday: 12:00 AM – 6:00 AM
  • Wednesday into Thursday: 12:00 AM – 6:00 AM
  • Thursday into Friday: 12:00 AM – 6:00 AM
  • Friday into Saturday: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM

Total Weekly Hours: 32

Position Summary

NSG, Inc. is seeking a dependable and professional Security Guard / Front Desk Associate to provide overnight security and customer service support at the Anna Louise Inn and Off the Streets program. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and respectful environment for residents, clients, staff, and visitors while assisting with front desk and administrative duties.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Security & Reception Duties

  • Monitor security cameras and building activity
  • Conduct building walk-throughs twice per shift
  • Assist fire and police personnel during emergencies
  • Support emergency evacuation procedures when necessary
  • Serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking assistance
  • Complete and email nightly incident/activity reports
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing visitors for security purposes
  • Notify program staff of behavioral or safety concerns
  • Welcome residents, clients, staff, and visitors professionally
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and messages
  • Process residency inquiries according to established procedures

Administrative & Clerical Duties

  • Maintain accurate staff and resident key logs
  • Manage incoming/outgoing mail and email communications
  • Assist with vehicle maintenance reporting
  • Perform general clerical and office support tasks

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality of residents, clients, and staff information
  • Assist with general cleaning and organization of workspaces
  • Inventory office, food, and cleaning supplies
  • Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork in daily operations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of one year of successful work experience
  • Recovery status of at least two years, if applicable
  • Ability to work respectfully with diverse and challenging populations
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Professional, positive, and outgoing demeanor
  • Experience in an office environment preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Understanding of confidentiality and sensitive information handling

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to quickly respond to emergency situations
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to move throughout the facility, including stairs when necessary
  • Manual dexterity for computer and administrative tasks

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR LICENSES

  • Must be able to obtain a security license through the state of Ohio.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
