Position Overview:

The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, and store property. This role monitors the premises, responds to security incidents, helps prevent theft, and supports a safe shopping environment through professional security services. The position also assists customers and store staff, completes incident reports, and follows established security procedures and company policies.

 

This position is located in Staten Island, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the premises and maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Observe and report suspicious activity.
• Prevent theft and unauthorized access.
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies.
• Complete accurate incident and activity reports.
• Assist customers and store staff when needed.
• Follow all security procedures and company policies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of recent security experience with one company required. Must have consistent work history.
• Valid New York State Security Guard License (8-Hour Pre-Assignment and 16-Hour On-the-Job Training completed).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
• Professional presentation and ability to handle security situations calmly and professionally.
• Report writing skills and ability to follow security procedures and company policies.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Pay Range: USD $19.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
