As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and assist visitors with professionalism and clear communication. You will respond to security-related concerns, document observations, and deliver dependable service through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal's caring, agile, reliable, and innovative culture.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and individuals accessing a government social services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain orderly operations at the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, or policy concerns.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while communicating professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
