What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe activity at the location to help support authorized entry, visitor processing, and adherence to property rules and tenant protocols.
- Complete routine reports and document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities to help support awareness of security-related conditions across the property.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
