U. S. Steel in Granite City IL, is seeking an Emergency Services Dispatcher. This position involves multi-tasking and maintaining control of a dispatch center that monitors plant operations, fire alarms, security alarms and multiple other computer-based services. Ability to communicate on a wireless radio system, and via a phone system, to employees and emergency responders.
Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and shift work. This job is within a heavy industrial environment and may be required to work within various areas of the Granite City Works facility.
