Description
Overview:
We're currently seeking a Security Officer to join our team!
Flexibility to work shifts: 7am -3:00pm /3pm -11:00pm /11pm-7:00am.
Some weekend availability required.

Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBLITIES:
Verify operation of all exterior door alarms.
Conduct hourly rounds, interior and exterior check to include: door security, windows, door alarms, lighting (interior and exterior for proper operation).
Monitoring all staff, entering and exiting the facility.
Monitoring special functions.
Turn off lighting, AD or other appliances – nonessential as necessary.
Monitoring heating system.
Routine checks with charge nurse at nurse’s station.
Respond to Independent Living pendant or call lights alerts that are reported through the walkie-talkie system or computer software system.
Call 911 immediately if a resident is not responsive or needs immediate medical attention.
Respond to all fire alarms, assist Fire Department in locating and resolving alarm.
May require speedy response and the ascending and descending of as many as four flights of stairs.
Call Nashua Police Department to check out strangers as necessary.
Complete daily Maintenance and Security Log, which includes: monitoring heating plant operation and recording of pump and temperature readings.
Notify Maintenance of any building issues or concerns that may arise.
Report all emergencies to the Director of Plant Operations.
Help with nightly trash and help with delivering large packages a needed.
Assist with seasonal outdoor duties including snow removal, salting, brushing off cars as needed.
Assume responsibility for self-safety and that of immediate work environment.
Attend annual in-service programs including but not limited to: body mechanics, right-to-know information and fire and safety procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, pushing, pulling and stair climbing.
Must have the ability to read, speak, write and follow simple oral instructions.
Must be computer literate: Microsoft word
Some mechanical and electrical knowledge and a working knowledge of the trades.

High school education or equivalent.
