As a Security Officer Access Control Associate in Lathrop, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support daily operations through visible presence and strong communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at the location.
- Monitor access control points, verify credentials, screen visitors and deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized entry into buildings, yards, gates, and other restricted areas.
- Document arrivals, departures, and security-related incidents, communicate with site contacts regarding access requests, and report unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations involving access issues, delivery traffic, and/or policy concerns while following post orders and site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
