As a Security Officer Access Control in PORT HUENEME, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a government location. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, maintain awareness of site activity, and provide professional customer service to visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access to a government maritime location by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, and directing authorized visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access-control systems, visitor activity, and restricted areas; document observations, access concerns, and incidents according to established protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, perimeter areas, and assigned locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
