As a Security Officer Access Control Rover in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activity with strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout shipping, receiving, warehouse, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and/or vendor access as directed, and report suspicious activity, package issues, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Support daily location operations by observing trailer yards, loading dock activity, and high-traffic areas, and communicating security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
