As a Security Officer Access Verification in York, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at a busy distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify access permissions, monitor activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while using computer or tablet systems to document activity and communicate concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and control access for authorized personnel, vehicles, and vendors.
• Observe inbound and outbound truck traffic, maintain visitor and driver logs, and report irregularities or unauthorized access attempts to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
