As a Security Officer Screening Technician in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen individuals, personal property, and/or carried items at designated entry points in accordance with location policies, post orders, and applicable government-related procedures.
- Monitor entry and restricted areas, verify credentials and/or authorization, and report unusual activity, prohibited items, or policy concerns to the appropriate contact.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and supporting site personnel during security-related events.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, screening areas, and perimeter as assigned, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
