Security Officer - Alarm Patrol

As a Security Officer Alarm Patrol in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic automotive location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify entry authorization for approved personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site policies and posted instructions.
• Support daily operations by communicating clearly with site personnel, providing directions as needed, and completing required reports related to patrol activity, incidents, and/or policy concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Experience working in a primarily driving post is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
