Job Description:
As a Security Officer Armed Driver for Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This armed and driving post offers the opportunity to support daily operations with integrity, teamwork, and reliability while making a meaningful impact in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, entrances, exits, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify suspicious behavior.
- Monitor for theft-related activity, trespassing, disorderly conduct, and/or after-hours access concerns, and report observations according to site protocols.
- Support store personnel and visitors by assisting with access control, de-escalation, incident documentation, and/or coordination with local law enforcement when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
