Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out armed post duties, site-specific procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to identify unusual activity and/or potential policy violations.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site protocols and post orders.
• Support order at the location by maintaining a visible presence, following use of force and de-escalation guidelines, and coordinating with site leadership and/or law enforcement when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
