Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, where you will help monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine vehicle and foot patrols, and remain visible to help discourage incidents. This is an armed, driving post for a professional who brings strong communication, customer service, and integrity while supporting a caring team that is agile, reliable, and innovative. **Position Type: Part Time** **Pay Rate: $26.90 / Hour** **Job Schedule:** DayTimeThur07:00 AM - 05:00 PMFri07:00 AM - 05:00 PM **What You'll Do:** + Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location. + Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and following post orders for an armed patrol assignment. + Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions. + Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel. + Prepare clear reports on daily activities, incidents, and/or observations, and support local staff and first responders during medical, fire, and other emergency situations. **Minimum Requirements:** + Must have 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience. + Must meet hospital vaccine requirements. + Pepper spray certification is preferred. + A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. + Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. + Participate in industry-specific security training programs. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. + A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. **Why Join Us:** + **Smart Tools:** Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more. + **Career Growth:** Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities. + **Financial Benefits:** Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future. + **Exclusive Perks:** Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program. **Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.** All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race/ethnicity, age, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, disability, protected veteran status or relationship/association with a protected veteran, or any other basis or characteristic protected by law.
