Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or authorized entry for staff, visitors, and contractors in accordance with location policies and post orders.
• Support public-facing operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with crowd and/or traffic control when needed, and communicating professionally with law enforcement, emergency personnel, and location representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related work, law enforcement, and/or the military.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
