As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Diploma Required in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour
Job Schedule:
The exact schedule for this role has not been determined. That is common for this type of position and may depend on pre-hire steps that take time which could include the onboarding and training processes. If hired, your manager will work with you to determine your schedule based on business needs and your availability.
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and/or help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted or sensitive government areas.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or security-related concerns, and report maintenance issues, hazards, or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- Experience with handcuffs and/or pepper spray and/or baton is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
