As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Unit in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access screening support, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or access authorization, and follow post orders for prohibited items, screening processes, and visitor control.
- Support Allied Universal protocols by maintaining a professional presence, completing required reports, and reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a DCJS license for Virginia roles only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
