As an Armed Security Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This driving post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver's license. Pay Rate: $21.70 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, campus policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
