Security Officer Armed Patrol

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Greenfield, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Our Armed Security Officers at a government transportation location monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. In this role, you will carry out routine patrols, respond to site needs, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $25.88 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, traffic-related concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including preparing clear activity and incident documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, roadways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and support security-related screening and entry procedures in accordance with site policies and post orders.
• Maintain readiness to perform armed post responsibilities, communicate with local authorities and/or site contacts when needed, and support response efforts during emergencies, disturbances, or other unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
