Security Officer Armed Patrol

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in North Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will respond to incidents, communicate professionally, and provide exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $23.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following campus procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with access-control procedures, visitor direction, and reporting of unusual conditions.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately and promptly in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
