Security Officer Armed Route Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer Armed Route Patrol Driver in Blanch, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine patrols throughout a correctional facility, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional communication with staff and visitors. This armed, driving position offers the opportunity to support a controlled government setting while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented culture and acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and individuals in custody by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned correctional facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials and authorization, and document visitor, staff, vehicle, and incident activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance and following established protocols as needed.
• Maintain required qualifications for armed duties, handle assigned equipment in accordance with policy and applicable law, and prepare accurate reports for security-related incidents and observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
