Help Create a Safe and Welcoming CommunityBeloit College is seeking an unarmed Security Officer to help provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where students, faculty, staff, and visitors can thrive. This position combines campus safety responsibilities with customer service, emergency response, problem-solving, and community engagement. Officers serve as trusted resources who respond to emergencies, assist community members, and help ensure the campus remains safe and welcoming.We welcome applicants with a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Experience in security, customer service, hospitality, military service, emergency response, facilities, or higher education is beneficial but not required. Training will be provided; however, the position requires the ability to exercise independent judgment, make timely decisions, and follow College policies and Standard Operating Procedures. The Security Officer reports to the Director of Security.This is a full-time position consisting of four 10-hour shifts per week (40 hours), typically from 6:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. Employees can generally expect a consistent schedule.
