As a Security Officer Clinical Patrol in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in a healthcare location, assisting with badge checks, directional support, and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Support a professional environment by following post orders, observing for policy violations, and contacting appropriate personnel during medical, behavioral, and/or facility-related events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hospital vaccinations are required.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes the morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals when required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
