What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures and supporting access control activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with site contacts and/or public emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, document security-related concerns, and report observations, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations according to post procedures.
- Assist with emergency response activities, provide directions and information, and support order at the location while maintaining a professional presence.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
