Security Officer

As a security officer at Children's Health, you'll help make life better for the children and families we serve by patrolling our facilities to ensure we maintain a safe and healthy environment. This position pays $23.12 an hour.

• Your responsibilities will include enforcing our policies, rules and regulations as well as providing visitors with directions and other information.
• You'll ensure that all entrances and exits are secure, and that everyone on-site is properly identified.
• You'll report all irregularities, emergencies and suspicious activity to the appropriate party.

Experience

Required: At least one year of job-related experience (in customer service, health care, hospitality, security, law enforcement or the military, for example)

Education

Required: High school diploma or GED

Licenses and certifications

• Required upon hire: Valid, current Texas driver license
• Required within 60 days of hire: Completion of Pediatric Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior training, followed by annual renewal of training
• Required within six months of hire: Completion of non-commissioned security officer training and certification, and licensure by the Texas Department of Public Safety
