Description: St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Part Time Security Officer to join our team!

Job Title: Security Officer Employment Type: Part Time, 16 hours per week Shift: Day Shift, weekends Location: St. Mary Medical Center

Position Purpose The Security Officer is responsible for the security of hospital employees, patients/families, visitors, and property.

As a Security Officer you will:

• Serve our customers and provide high quality service with care and courtesy.
• Treat customers/patients in a respectful manner.
• Report all accidents or incidents promptly.
• Correct and/or report any potential safety hazard you see.
• Take ownership for a safe, comfortable and clean environment.
• Makes appropriate safety and security rounds.
• Maintains watch on the employee parking lot.
• Opens/locks buildings, as appropriate.
• Use/extinguish premises light & turn in a list of defective lights, as appropriate.
• Conduct/assist with missing person reports.
• Provide escort services to visitors.
• Maintain smooth control of traffic.
• Assist motorists involved in vehicle breakdowns.
• Maintains safety practices in the area of his/her assignment.
• Has oversight of the SOC (Security Operations Center).
• Handles Duties associated with the Operation of Metal Detector and Wanding.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid drivers license with a good driving record
• 1-2 years customer service-related experience in a hospital setting
• Prior Hospital Security Officer experience preferred
• Fingerprints and background check during the hiring process
