The Dedicated Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment at an assigned client location. The officer will be stationed at one designated property for the duration of their shift and will be responsible for regularly monitoring the entire site, documenting activity, and responding appropriately to incidents, concerns, and interactions with residents, customers, employees, and visitors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Remain stationed at and assigned to the designated client location throughout the scheduled shift.
Conduct hourly patrols of the property and designated areas.
Take photographs during each patrol to document site conditions, activity, and any areas requiring attention.
Monitor the property for suspicious activity, safety concerns, property damage, unauthorized access, or other security-related issues.
Document all incidents, observations, and unusual activity through the company's required reporting system.
Record and report interactions with residents, customers, employees, visitors, vendors, or other individuals on the property.
Respond professionally and appropriately to questions, concerns, and routine interactions with residents and customers.
Immediately report emergencies, security concerns, disturbances, property damage, or other significant incidents to the appropriate supervisor and/or emergency services when necessary.
Maintain accurate and timely patrol reports, incident reports, and other required documentation.
Follow all post orders, client-specific instructions, company policies, and procedures.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the security company and client.
Remain alert and attentive throughout the entire shift and avoid activities that interfere with security responsibilities.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and management regarding property conditions, incidents, and ongoing concerns.
Perform other security-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
21 years of age or older
High school diploma or GED
Pass background check and drug test
Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record
Must have reliable transportation
Complete training modules within first month
Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills
Demonstrate a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times
Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds
