Security Officer - Distribution Center

As a Security Officer - Distribution Center in Van Buren Township, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Preferred experience with badge access control and X-ray screening will support your success. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, access points, warehouse perimeters, and other assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by observing personnel, visitors, and vehicle activity, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership.
• Complete required incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
