As a Security Officer - Distribution Facility in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and/or team members, and support security-related operations through clear communication and attentive presence. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at the location.
• Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and/or vehicles entering designated areas, and report suspicious, restricted, or unauthorized items in accordance with post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, docks, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Document screening results, incidents, and daily activities in required logs and reports, and communicate relevant information during shift changes and/or to Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
