As a Security Officer Driver Entry Control in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and conduct routine patrols to help support a secure environment. This is a driving post. Pay Rate: $20.37 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with access control protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around operational areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized activity and unusual conditions.
  • Support security-related operations within a chemical and petrochemical location by communicating clearly with personnel, following post orders, and maintaining accurate activity logs and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
