As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol in Waterloo, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine driving and foot patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site procedures, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted operational areas.
- Support daily operations at an industrial location by observing equipment yards, shipping and receiving areas, and high-traffic zones for potential hazards, policy violations, and/or other security-related issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
