As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access in Monroe, MI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and maintain accurate logs of people, vehicles, and deliveries entering or leaving the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around production areas, administrative spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential security-related concerns.
• Support screening and checkpoint operations by following post orders, observing site rules, and reporting policy violations, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious behavior in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• This position is primarily a driving post.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
