As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Lobby Services in Southfield, MI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

DayTimeSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
How This Role Works:
- Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Monitor visitor access at the front desk by greeting guests, checking identification and/or credentials, maintaining entry records, and directing visitors according to site policies.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to the appropriate contact when needed.
- Support a professional lobby and reception presence by answering questions, assisting employees and visitors, and communicating security-related information clearly and courteously.
- Observe front desk activity and report unusual behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy-related issues to help support security-related operations at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
