Security Officer Entry Control

As a Security Officer Entry Control in Port Isabel, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location where you will help manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and support security-related operations through routine patrols, visible presence, and strong customer service. Pay Rate: $13.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor and vehicle activity in support of security-related operations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Communicate with site personnel regarding deliveries, escorts, restricted access requests, and/or operational changes to help support orderly site access and security-related awareness.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
