As a Security Officer Flex Building Access Control in Newport Beach, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri02:30 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at the front desk of a commercial office location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Monitor access to the building, verify visitor credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
• Receive and direct calls, deliveries, and guests, providing clear information and assistance while maintaining a courteous, professional presence.
• Monitor security-related systems, cameras, alarms, and communications equipment, reporting unusual activity or equipment concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, emergency response activities, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
