As a Flexible Armed Security Officer in San Antonio, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon12:00 PM - 05:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor high-traffic areas and support access control, loss prevention awareness, and/or de-escalation efforts while documenting incidents and communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card in Texas only.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
