As a Security Officer Full Time - Entrance Screener in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will manage visitor and badge access, monitor entry points, maintain awareness of security-related activity, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, lobbies, parking areas, business spaces, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership, document incidents and unusual activity, and follow established escalation and reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
