Additional Job Information

• 40 hours per week, 10 hour shifts
• Rotating days, 3 on 2 off
• Two shifts available
• Evenings; 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
• Nights; 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
• Shift differential offered
• Weekend and holiday rotation required by department

Overview

Job Summary:          

Patrol designated areas within the hospital complex to provide a safe, secure environment for patients, visitors, staff property, with emphasis on customer service and all other duties as required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensures equipment issued and used during the execution of duties is properly maintained.

• Provides continuous security patrols of all areas of the medical center.

• Mitigates crisis situations such as code responses, responding to disturbances, fires and disaster drills and situations.

• Ensures proper documentation is completed on all patrol vehicles.

• Responds to emergency situations according to approved, established protocol.

• Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree:  High School Diploma or GED

• Experience: No Experience Required

• Supervisor Experience:  No Experience Required

• Licenses & Certification: Valid Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree:  Associates Degree

• Experience: 2-5 years

• Licenses & Certification: ASP Baton Certification, CPR/AED, IAHSS
