As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Emergency Response in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a government-operated shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and emergency services as directed by policy.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, perimeter locations, and other designated spaces, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization according to site procedures, and maintain awareness of security-related conditions that may require reporting or follow-up.
• Prepare accurate reports and shift documentation for incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
