As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Property Monitoring in Whittier, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for shoppers, visitors, and staff while reporting concerns and assisting with security-related needs. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, common areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity, access concerns, and potential hazards; report observations promptly according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while supporting a professional, welcoming environment for shoppers and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
• Possess a Guard Card or license, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
