As a Security Officer - General Dutyin Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a busy retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating clearly with store personnel, visitors, and management.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and associate activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Support loss prevention and crowd management efforts during peak business hours, special events, and/or high-traffic periods while documenting incidents according to site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
