As a Security Officer Government Building in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, assist with access control and badge processes, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use technology to document activity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post instructions.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of business areas, building perimeters, parking areas, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
