As a Security Officer Government Building Patrol in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at an innovative technology-focused location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to alarms, communicate professionally with personnel and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $26.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as assigned, and document visitor, contractor, and/or delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents, completing accurate activity and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
