Security Officer - Graveyard/Swing Shift

As a Security Officer - Graveyard/Swing Shift in Gresham, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and assist visitors and tenants with exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, loitering, and other policy violations.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
