What We Are Looking For

We are looking for professional security officers that will protect Aegis Protective Services’ clientele and their staff, visitors, and property in a variety of industries, ranging from industrial complexes, hospitality, healthcare, education, and more.

Job-Specific Details

Location: Various sites throughout Dayton, OH.

Salary: $16.50/hour

Note: Outside on-foot tours may be required.

Security Officer Responsibilities

• Observe and Report: Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises, conducting regular inspections to identify and deter potential security risks, illegal activity, or breaches. When needed, complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities.
• Diligence: Respond promptly to alarms and incidents and take appropriate action.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent service by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries and concerns.
• Collaboration: Work together with law enforcement agencies as needed. 
  • Monitor and log daily activity report
  • Conduct foot patrols across the site 
  • Respond to medical emergencies, fire alarms, and security incidents

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (last 3 consecutive years with a license, no suspensions, clean driving record, 21+ years of age)
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of security experience
• 1+ years of Customer Service Experience
• Strong understanding of de-escalation
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Aegis Protective Services will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
• Applicants need to have a driver's license and go through a motor vehicle report for positions.

  • Ability to walk 3-5 miles per shift
  • Ability to stand up to 6 hours at a time
  • Comfortable navigating stairs and large facilities
  • Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities
  • Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with employees and/or other customers.

Pay: $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: PT or FT is 40 per week
