Summary: The Workforce Group a LEMOINE company, is currently looking for dependable and professional individuals to join our team as Security Officers. As a Security Officer in our Emergency Response Logistics Support Reservists Cadre Team, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of personnel, equipment, and facilities during emergency operations. Your primary duties will include monitoring access points, conducting perimeter patrols, and ensuring a safe and secure environment at deployment locations.
These are seasonal positions and, if activated, will likely require travel on short notice, generally lasting from several days to a few weeks and possibly 30 days or more, depending on the disaster response needs. Ideal candidates for these missions will be available to deploy within 24 to 72 hours of notification.
Location: Disaster Response Locations in Louisiana
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to and from emergency response sites.
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and security patrols.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and policy violations.
- Assist with enforcing safety protocols and site regulations.
- Respond to incidents and coordinate with team leads or law enforcement as necessary.
- Support crowd control and assist with maintaining order during high-activity periods.
- Provide security coverage for logistical operations and critical assets.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve operational goals.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred. Candidates must be alert, physically capable, and able to remain calm in high-pressure environments. This role may involve working outdoors in varied conditions, including high heat, and requires physical stamina for extended periods of walking, standing, and responding to incidents.
- The ability to deploy on short notice is required.
- Prior experience in security or emergency response roles is preferred.
- Strong situational awareness and communication skills are required.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment is preferred.
- Must be able to work irregular hours—such as nights, weekends, and holidays—during emergency deployments.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
