Responsibilities:
  • Serves as an Ambassador for upholding the Mercy values of Hospitality, Justice, Dignity, Stewardship, Prayer, and Excellence.
  • Makes scheduled rounds both inside and outside the buildings to help maintain a safe and secure environment for residents and their property as well as company property.
  • Enforces Mercy Ridge policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Responds to all fire alarms and apartment emergency calls.
  • Develops and maintains a good working rapport with residents, family members, visitors, vendors and co-workers, to assure safety & security procedures meet the needs of the facility.
  • Assists with special security needs as they arise involving employees, visitors, and other members of the community.
  • Provides detailed written reports of all incidents that occur during the shift and shares with community leadership.
  • Maintains entrances in facility for safe passage at all times.
  • Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
  • Partners with Concierge to complete daily up and about checks.
  • Performs service related tasks as assigned to ensure the safety and security of residents and staff.
  • Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition.
  • Reports all incidents/accidents immediately. Reports all unsafe/hazardous conditions equipment immediately, trained and knowledgeable in equipment lockout/tag out procedures.  Assures that established safety regulations are followed at all times. Recognizes unsafe conditions and takes action or reports conditions to supervisor.
  • Uses equipment, services and supplies in a cost-effective manner.
  • Utilizes proper use of body mechanics and personal protective equipment (“PPE”) and devices.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
  • Must be knowledgeable of legal requirements while conducting investigations and interviewing witnesses and suspects.
  • Provides coverage for the front desk for staff breaks when needed.
  • Assists with elevator malfunctions and entrapments, escorts emergency services to the location when needed.

 

Qualifications:
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must possess a minimum of two years of experience in law enforcement or public contract security, or one year of healthcare security experience
  • Must obtain CPR certification within 6 months of hire or transfer. CPR must be current at all times.
Min: USD $18.66/Hr. Max: USD $30.79/Hr. Salary Information: Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications. Benefits:
