As a Security Officer Mall Access Control in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Allied Universal is seeking a customer-focused Security Officer to patrol a premier retail center. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, respond to security-related concerns, and assist shoppers, tenants, and visitors with professionalism and clear communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail center location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, pedestrian traffic, and parking areas; provide directions, information, and assistance to visitors while helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and daily shift reports in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
