Security Officer Morning Patrol

As a Security Officer Morning Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout commercial real estate buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and help to deter unauthorized access, trespassing, and/or policy violations at the location.
• Support day-to-day operations by communicating with property management and/or emergency personnel as needed, while maintaining detailed logs, reports, and other security-related records.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
